Dr. Mathieu Acher is an Associate Professor at University of Rennes 1, France. His research focuses on reverse engineering, modelling, reasoning, and learning software variability in various kinds of artefacts and domains. He has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed papers in software engineering top journals and conferences. He is regularly presenting courses, tutorials, tools, or scientific results at international venues. He's leading several open source projets (e.g., FAMILIAR, TuxML) in the context of his research. He's leading the project VaryVary https://varyvary.github.io/ a 4-year research project that aims to explore the use of artificial intelligence (including machine learning) for playing with software variability present in almost all real-world systems (e.g., Linux).
