Magnus Karlsson is a Principal Engineer at Intel. Magnus joined Intel
in late 2014 through the acquisition of LSI's/Avago's networking
processor business and has worked for the past 25 years with low-level
SW such as operating systems, hypervisors, networking, and boot
loaders as well as microprocessor architecture. He has always liked to
work closely with customers, especially in the telecom and data center
area, to make sure that real world problems get solved. Magnus'
current project involves making Linux much faster at packet processing
through a new socket type called AF_XDP, hopefully solving a number of
challenges these customers are facing. He has over 30 peer reviewed
scientific publications and over 12 US patents granted. Privately, he
has a well-known weakness for good food and good company.
